How Can Coaching Help?
Coaching can help you clarify goals, make changes, and identify manageable steps to achieving them.
It can help you understand ways you may be blocking yourself mentally or emotionally, and show you strategies you can use to overcome blocks to your success.
It can help you discover a more confident, strong, and secure self.
It is particularly helpful when you are highly motivated and eager to take your insights from our meetings, and apply them along your journey of growth.
What is Positive Psychology?
Positive Psychology is the science of what makes life worth living, such as purpose, meaning and the ability to flourish.
Positive Psychology has seen tremendous growth over the past two decades because it provides an evidence-based blueprint for doing the things that can support wellbeing, even in the toughest of times.
In a nutshell, Positive Psychology supports the idea that we can gain greater happiness, wellbeing, and achievement through conscious choices, attitudes, and actions, particularly when we:
Cultivate the positive: positive emotions, experiences, values, strengths, expectations, and relationships.
Cope effectively with the negative: painful emotions, experiences, challenges, stress, and disappointments.
Commit to personally meaningful goals and take sustained action toward achieving them.
You are in charge, in command, and capable of making the change you desire in your life.
Together, we will work towards another level of ownership over your emotions, relationships, self-confidence, and future goals.
What is Positive Psychology Coaching?
Positive Psychology Coaching allows you the time and commitment to tackle areas of your life that you feel you need the most most help with, in a structured and proactive way. A common definition of PPC is:
"Positive Psychology Coaching is a scientifically-rooted approach to helping clients increase wellbeing, enhance and apply strengths, improve performance, and achieve valued goals. At the core of PPC is a belief in the power of science to elucidate the best." Kauffman, Boniwell, and Silberman (2010).

What is The Journey Mindset™?
If you want to make a positive change and take your life to the next level, then use The Journey Mindset to navigate your life.
According to a new Stanford University study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, individuals are more likely to continue their positive habits if they see their goal achievement as “completing a journey” instead of “arriving at a destination.”
They conducted six experiments involving more than 1,600 people, participating in activities ranging from dieting and fitness, to executive training courses.
Across each study, they discovered that thinking of an achieved goal as a journey led to a greater likelihood of people continuing the behaviors that enabled them to attain their goal.
As it turns out, the secret to maintaining positive habits and hard-earned achievements may be to change how we think about them. Instead of focusing only on the goal that’s been attained, we should reflect on the steps it took to achieve it, and to think metaphorically about the entire effort as a journey, rather than a destination.
In our Positive Psychology Coaching Program, we use The Mountain Metaphor™ to help you develop a new set of tools for positive change and growth.
