It's easy to get caught up in life where we're just going through the motions. As a result, we tend to lose focus on what's really important to us and what truly drives our energy.
If you implement these 3 strategies into your everyday life, then you'll see a 3x boost in energy, joy, and life satisfaction.
Oftentimes we lose sight of what’s really important to us. We live on autopilot so much that we’re not actively engaged in consciously thinking about our values.
Values influence our daily lives and they shape the actions we take on a daily basis.
When you clearly identify what’s important to you in life, you cultivate a deeper understanding of what’s deserving of your time and energy. As a result, you’ll live in greater harmony and alignment, experiencing an increase in happiness, subjective well-being and resilience.
Conversely, if you’re unaware of your values, your behavior will conflict with what’s really meaningful to you. This will lead to cognitive dissonance. For example, if you value health, yet continue to eat cupcakes and not workout, you’ll encounter psychological stress that manifests into feelings of distress, discomfort and personal tension.
While identifying your values is important, it’s equally important to prioritize them. If you don’t establish what your top 5 values are, it’s easy to fall into this trap of going through the motions and feeling unfilled because you’ve lost touch with your top priorities.
There are so many things we all value in life, health, wealth, family, etc. but we need to prioritize these values at certain times in our life. This doesn’t mean we ignore other values that might be further down our list, rather you want to identify what your core values are so you can consistently reflect on what’s meaningful to you in this current moment of time.
Awareness of your attention is key in reconnecting with them, and maintaining a healthy balance between all life domains so you can thrive and live life to the fullest.

Passion projects bring more meaning and joy to your life, but what exactly is a passion project?
My definition of a passion project is something you spend time on for your own personal satisfaction.
If we’re talking about high performance, research has shown some of the most successful and productive people in the world spend time on passion projects. They all have hobbies and dedicate a decent amount of time to their creative endeavors.
This isn’t just about “high performance” or being productive, this is a holistic point of view about flourishing in life! (which is what high performance really is...) If you truly want to live your best life though, make time to do things that bring you joy regardless of the end result.
Think about the last time you did something really fun...didn’t you have such a great time doing it?
Of course you did!
So if you don’t currently have a passion project you’re working on, here’s a simple strategy that can help you get going:
There doesn’t necessarily need to be an end result. Sometimes, just doing something for the sake of doing it is enough.
You don’t need to beat yourself up if you miss a day, week or even a month. You don’t need to over analyze and critique every little thing about yourself and the outputs of this project. Why? Well, if you’re doing it “just for fun” who cares what other people think.
Remember, the point of a passion project is to bring YOU joy. Not others. That’s just a secondary benefit.
PS - I’ve been working on a new rap series called Just For Fun where I rap over beats I like for fun. While I haven’t uploaded any videos yet, I have a ton of rap songs I’ve been writing and recording. You don’t need to show the world about your projects either. While I plan on releasing my songs eventually, I’m still enjoying myself throughout this journey. This could also help you get over any fears or anxieties you might have about feeling embarrassed.

Nature is inherently imperfect. Instead of looking at the world through the lens of having to “fix” everything (including yourself and your life) embrace the mindset of appreciating the imperfections. For example, nature is inherently imperfect. Are we going to criticize the weather when it’s “too cold” outside?
Well, for many of us, yes!
Or you can choose to appreciate the uniqueness of nature and embrace it for what it is.
